Hi,We have implemented the Resource Reservation database at my company. We have run into a problem where people who have set the option to forward all meeting notices are still receiving room notices.
The Resource Reservation Template: StdR60 Resource Reservation - Template version is 6.51 (01/05/2004)
Here is the scenario:
Both Senior Exec and Assistant are using R6.5.1 client
Senior Exec has the following calendar preference settings:
-
Calendar & To Do \ Display: Types of Meeting notices to be shown in your inbox = None
-
Access & Delegation settings:
a) Assistant has been delegated to access “All Mail, Calendar, and To Do” with access of “Read, edit, create and delete any document, send mail on your behalf”
b) Checked both options: “Forward notices where you are the invitee of the meeting” and “Forward notices where you are the chair of the meeting”
The Room Resource has the following settings:
- Owner restrictions: Owner only (Only owner can book resource)
The problem is that when the Assistant goes into the Senior Exec’s calendar to schedule a meeting and request a room, an email notice is sent to the Senior Exec stating that he has requested a room resource. This request is properly forwarded to the Assistant because of 2b above, but should not appear in the Senior Exec’s inbox because of #1, but they are. Does anyone know how to prevent these room notices from appearing in someone’s inbox when they set the option not to?
Here is a copy of the email that is being sent to the Senior Exec:
