Hy good smart people :)I am new at lotus notes technology and have some problems with promoting domino server to a Mail server.
I have asked to our web hosting company to reroute our mails on IP of our domino server… And mails started to arrive but domino router wouldn’t put them to user database, he just try to send them to another smtp server who is rejecting mail.
I have set correct server, database, internet address and lotus notes mail system…
Can anybody tell me what settings must be enabled that my domino server receive mails and put them in correct user databases???
I also tried to create rule when “to” contains one of my users to put the mail in correct database, and it worked but the received mail would appear in “sent” items not inbox :S
Is the Domino directory setup correctly? Domain documents, server documents, register users correctly? The Domino server needs to know what Internet domain to accept mail for and the Internet address/UserID/Short Name needs to be correct in the person document. What server is setup in the MX records for the Internet domain?
Thank you for your response!I think i found where the problem was, I forget to set short user name and in the personal documents email was configured in format: User/Organization@domain not user@domain…
All the other documents seems good to me…
I am setting this changes soon and hope that they work!
