Problem with OpenMailDatabase or GetDBDirectory

Hello!

I am having a problem with the either the OpenMailDatabase or GetDBDirectory methods. The following code snipet:

Set notesdir = session.GetDbDirectory(“”)

Set maildb = notesdir.OpenMailDatabase

yields the following:

Reason for error: File does not exist.

Error number: -2147217501

Source Object: NotesDbDirectory (notesdir)

The error message is “File does not exist.” What would cause the error? And why does it only occur on one person’s machine?

I would greatly appreciate any help you can give.

Thanks,

Justin

Subject: Probably his Location document is specifying the wrong Server/Mail file.

Thank you for your response. If that were the case though, he wouldn’t be able to use Lotus Notes and access his AB, calendar and mail, correct? He is accessing those things fine in Notes.

Thanks,

Justin

Subject: Sure he would if he had bookmarked the Db. Just would not get any New Mail notifications.

The server is still delivering mail to the proper mail db.

Ah, that’s right. Thank you very much, Bill. I will check that out.
