Problem with Lotus Domino and Administrator

I am trying to finish my school project but it’s not going as smooth as planned… I am having problems with getting Lotus Notes and Lotus Administrator to work with Lotus Domino Server. I try anything, but it shows on the Domino Server console: “Pete/Pete from host 192.168.1.102:1552 failed to authenicate: The server’s Domino Directory does not contain any cross certificates capable of authenticating you.”

My server name is: Server2003, domain is: student10.classroom.com When I try to fix it (trial and error), I get a message on the client PC (on which the Lotus Notes and Lotus Administrator is installed): "The subject’s public key found in the cross certificate does not match the one found in the certficication table. Do you want to access the server anyway? Yes/NO

If I select Yes, I get this:

Server Error: The server’s Domino Directory does not contain any cross certificates capable of authenticating you. Ok

There is no problem with the network connection (not that I know of) becuase I can ping the server by its name and IP address from the client machine. Can anyone help me please? Any directions or links to setup tutorials would be greatly appreciated. Peter

It seem that you are trying to connect to the server with wrong ID file. Make sure that you are using the correct ID file that created by the server that you want to connect.I see that your ID name is Pete/Pete, and what is your server name? Server2003/Pete?

Hello, an ID like Pete/Pete usually is created during a client setup without “I want to connect to a domino server”. Please check if user.id is still attached in persondocument on names.nsf on server. If so, just reinstall client and connect to server during client setup.HtH Heinz

Thank you guys for your help. I re-installed the Lotus Notes client several times and eventually it worked out.
