Hi,
I have an outline and I want hidden one entry on several conditions :
In hide when formula; I put
@IsNewDoc >>>> it works
@IsNewDoc | Archive = “OUI” >>>> it work’s too
@IsNewDoc | Archive = “OUI” | @Left(Form;6) != “F_Disc” >>>> Not works
Also, if I write this (not negative)
@IsNewDoc | Archive = “OUI” | @Left(Form;6) = “F_Disc” >>>> IT WORKS!!
I tried : !(@Left(Form;6) = “F_Disc”), it’s the same, the negative comparaison seems don’t work…
Any idea, advice, workaround are welcome,
Thank you,
Thierry
Subject: Problem with hide when formula and outline…
So, just to be clear:
-
you want the outline hidden if the document is new or if Archive is set to “OUI” or if the first six characters of the form are not equal to “F_Disc”?
-
When you tested with @IsNewDoc | Archive = “OUI” | @Left(Form;6) = “F_Disc”, did it hide forms starting with “F_Disc” and not hide with forms that did not start with “F_Disc” (you tested both?)?
-
When you tested with @IsNewDoc | Archive = “OUI” | @Left(Form;6) != “F_Disc”, did it hide all the time or never?
It is not likely to change your result, but I would advise changing the last part to !@Begins(Form; “F_Disc”). I hope that the answers to the questions above help clarify what is wrong.

I would also suggest using brackets around each expression.
(a+b)|(c+d)|(e+f)
this might help the compiler understand exactly what you are doing.
