Hi!
I’ve discovered a weird problem with LNViewFolder::Find… It doesn’t seem to match blank strings properly… In any case, it behaves differently than NotesView::GetDocumentByKey in LotusScript!
Take the trivial case, for example… I made a view with a single column, made it sorted ascending and assigned a field to it. I then made a doc with that field available, but set to “”.
LNViewFolder::Find((LNString)“”, &entry, NULL, NULL);
returns LNWARN_NOT_FOUND.
NotesView::GetDocumentByKey(“”, False)
returns the document.
I’ve experimented with LNVFFindOptions to no avail.
I discovered the problem occurring in an application I have that has multiple find keys, but strangely, in some situations it doesn’t seem to matter (it’ll match the blank if it’s mixed in with other keys). I can’t find any correlation with column settings, etc. though.
Any suggestions?
Bruce
