Hi,
I try to setup Domino 6.0.1 on a Sun Cobalt Qube 3, I’ve done this with the 5.0.x a year ago but now I’ve all erased and try to install the 6.0.1.
After responding to all the question, I’ve got an error :
./gproxy
/bin/tar: Skipping to next header
/bin/tar: Archive contains obsolescent base-64 headers
/bin/tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
Could someone help me please…
Best regards !

Subject: interesting I have the same hardware here… it runs 2.2 kernel …
… the hardware is really cool but the Linux version installed on it really sucks… It comes with Linux kernel 2.2 and this is not state of the art any more and I am pretty sure this is not support with D6 any more. I tried to update the OS on the Cobalt machine but did not succeed until now. It has a very specific own BIOS that boots the OS. I got it sort of running with a new kernel from one of the kernel developers from Sun but I never got it fully working.
If anyone has found a way to install a later Linux version (SuSE 8.0 or RH 7.2) on the Cube I would be really happy to get feedback. The little cute box is now in my living room and is more furniture than computer … I would really like to use it …

Try running Debian Linux 3.x (Woody) on the box.
Here are a few insights from someone who managed to get the box working:

Perhaps this is of help to you.
BTW:
I’m running Domino 6.01CF1 on Debian 3.0 with a 2.4.20 SMP kernel on a Dell machine. Works like a charm.
