Hii, i am having a domino 6 database file naming xyz.nsf, when i try to open the file i get error “THE DATABASE HAS LOCAL ACCESS PROTECTION AND YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO ACCESS IT LOCALLY”
can nebody help to find a way out,how could i open the file.
I’m not sure if there’s a way around it but, this happens when you create a local replica where the replica settings have “Encrypt the replica” selected. Whatever Notes id you used at the time the replica was created is the only one that can open the database. You can set the encryption when you create the replica or you can set the default in your User Preferences under Replication.
Try opening the database with the id that was used to create it.
actually i dont have that id and i am trying opening the said file in a newly formed domino with new id of the said database file.is there ne alternate way to open a database file.
