Hi all,
I have a problem with followup sync managed by Mail app of iPhone. I have HCL Traveler 12.0.1.2 running on Domino 12.0.1FP1.
When a user check followup on a mail on Iphone sometimes sync and I see the email on followup view on Notes client, sometimes not. I have many users that use this feature and this lack of sync starts to become a serious problem. I tried either with internal wireless connection and with mobile connection, same results.
Could it be maybe a configuration problem of Traveler? Thanks in advance
Hi Alessandro
I don't use Follow Up, however upgrading to the latest version might be the best advice.
It the upgrade won't solve the problem, I guess your best option is asking HCL.
For my own understanding, on the iOS Mail app, the user is using the Flag option for a mail (from the device)? Mails flagged do sync to the user's mail file and will then show in the Notes followup view. Assuming this is what you are talking about, when a mail flagged does not show in the followup view from notes, is Notes using a local replica? If yes, can you check the server copy of the mail to see if it shows the flag? If you mark a mail in notes, does it show up as flagged (consistently) on the device?
As for upgrades, I always encourage being at the latest and greatest of both traveler and domino. However, I can tell you that we (Traveler) have not made any changes around this particular flow in a long time.
If you find that even with the server copy you are seeing instances where a flag does not sync, then I do encourage you to open an HCL Support ticket. If it only appears with notes local replicas, then I know we have seen and documented a limitation for items missing from the trash folder (https://help.hcltechsw.com/traveler/12.0.2/GeneralLimitations.html)
