Private View does not display data

Hey Everyone,

I have a private desktop SOFU view that will not display any records.

The view selection is:

SELECT (AssignedTo = @Name([CN];@UserName))

Assigned to is a Dialogue List field.

I have also tried:

SELECT (CreatedBy = @Name([CN];@UserName))

I have also tried:

SELECT CreatedBy = @UserName

I made CreatedBy a computed when composed Text field with the following formula:

@Name([CN];@UserName)

I have rebuilt this view as a private view.

I have explicitly assigned myself as a DB manager in the ACL.

I have deleted the view, deleted the icon from my desktop and recreated the view.

All to no avail.

I am wondering if anyone has any insight they can share on how to get this to work.

I have done similar things with PDSOFU views in the past without any glitches.

Thanks,

Shawn

@Username in private views is notoriously unreliable. I just went through this and ended up using a categorized view. I embedded this in a form and set show single category to the user name formula. The first column in the categorized view is the CREATEDBY value you are referencing. Try it.

No Navigator, need the view link in the default navigator.

When you embed the view in a form with “Show Single Category” as @name([CN]; @Username) or @Username which match the first column of your view, Then compose the form in which you embedded the view using @Command([Compose]… as the formula to the link in the navigator. Hope this helps.
