Printing Issue After Upgrade to Domino 8 - Resolved

We upgraded our Domino apps server from 6.0.1 to 8.0.1 over the weekend and everything went smoothly.

However, one of our databases is now giving errors to users who are trying to print document from it. The error they receive states the document is private and cannot be printed.

However the document doesn’t seem to be marked as private, and the form is not marked to stop printing/copying.

The users who cannot print are using client 6.5.5. I can print fine and I’m on client 8.

However the same users can print documents from other databases on the same server with no problems.

I’ve just run a fixup and that hasn’t worked either.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Ok, fixed the issue. Noticed that the “copy or replicate documents” was not checked in the acl of the database.

As soon as I checked this it printed.

I was not aware this setting stopped printing…
