we are facing issue with local replica. User sometime replicate very old data to production system.
We have a archive copy of database. The agent archives the closed records in there. When a user open his local replication after a long time. it replicate Open documents again in the system.
How can we prevent this. Is there any way to check if local replica or documents is 30 days old it should not replicate. and prompt user to take new replica. Please help… Thanks

Hi, I hope i can give temporary solution.Just follow the below steps.
1.Database Properties—Replication Settings
2.Basics Tab–disable the option “Send Documents to Server”.so that even though they create any documents in the Local Replica,they will not be sent to Server.
3.Actually u should ask all othem to disable this option on their Local Replicas.
I know its going to be tough.Its Temporry Solution.

Replication settings may help you.On Other tab, there is option “Only replicate incoming documents saved or modified after”.
When your agent will backup old records to archivu, change this options on server. These should lead to not receive any older documents from local clients.

I have never seen this option. Just checked a few of my dbs and none of them have that option. Can you confirm this?

what Notes version are you viewing with? I’m using 8.5.1 so my description of that option is different.

Strange. You are right. My pictures are from R7. When tried on R8.5, the field is here but with meaning of deletion stubs :o
Then @Formula defined date range may help you. Look at “Space Savers” tab of Replication Settings.
