Prevent the editing of documents

Hi All, I need to know how to prevent the editing of documents other than specifying querymodechange = False. I did try this but if i choose edit from the action menu the document becomes editable. So in need some other way to stop it.

Hi.Can’t handle it with the ACL?

If you caan’t, you got to put code in the postopen-event to make sure the doc is not in editmode. That will solve your “edit-from-the-action-menu” problem. :slight_smile:

Thanks Jocke, But i tried it out too…that didnt work as well…Any other way to handle the issue…

Strange. I use that all the time.
