Postmaster and Abuse

Hi all,

I want to setup these 2 account in order to remove my server ip address from s SPAM fighting community.

I try to create person document called Postmaster with internet address postmaster@xyz.com but it keeps saying that the internet address is not unique. I am quite sure that no other people is using this address. However i can create a person doc called Abuse with an internet address abuse@tiongseng.com.sg.

Any suggestion why i can’t create Postmaster?

Yau are “quite sure” it does not exist. Why don’t you look in the $users view to see if it really does not exist. And if it does not exist maybe you can add the address to an existing user, in the usernames field

Not sure this will answer your question, but you may find it interesting, nevertheless. Domino automatically accepts mail for “abuse” and “postmaster” and sends it to those listed in the Administrators field on the Server Document.

You should be able to setup a person doc or group to redirect these messages.

You shouldn’t be using person documents. Create a mail in database for accounts like that, and give access to those who need access.
