Possible to have DWA and sametime on the same machine?

We are a small to medium size shop (<400 users) with Domino 7.0.1 (just installed) on a more than adequate machine. I have the DWA in use with the login.nsf tool for redirection, and that works well. I want to install sametime for the presense awareness and some chat. Can this be done?

As a note, I had installed the ST7 minimal install and it seemed to break the DWA. I uninstalled ST7 and DWA now works.

How exactly did installing Sametime “break” DWA? Is it that the Sametime Connect login prompt is appearing instead of the mail redirector db? I just logged into DWA on my test server, which also runs Sametime, so I can verify that you can do it (although IBM suggests you not run Sametime and mail on the same server.)

More likely than not, when you installed Sametime, the server document changed your starting webpage to stcenter.nsf instead of your custom login.nsf. You would just need to make the change in the server doc to point to login.nsf under the Internet Protocols-HTTP tab of the server doc. However, this is just speculation until I understand what you mean by “broken.”

By broken, I cannot connect to sametime and I also cannot get the DWA login screen. I did check the DWA document and the Sametime install had added the stcenter.nsf. I changed that back to the login.nsf and checked the configuration settings with no change. When I try to login to sametime, I get an error something like 80000223, connection refused. I mainly wanted to be sure this was possible before trying further to get it working.

Can you access DWA by logging into your mail db directly, like so?

http://server/mail/mhollenb.nsf

The Sametime issue may have something to do with how your users access the server via the web. I assume you are also trying to log in to sametime via the web?
