Policy docs are not getting created in $Policies view in names.nsf

I have already created a desktop settings doc to change the sametime server name & an explicit policy and applied it manully to few person docs in the NAB.

The problem is even after I restarted my Notes client many times, no policy documents are getting created in the $Policies view of my personal address book and eventually the policy was not applied to the client.

I’m using the following template name & version:

Template Name - StdR4PersonalAddressBook

Template Version - 6.5.1 (12/16/2003)

Am I missing anything else?

Opening the mailfile, clicking F5, logging back in, and clicking F9 to refresh the server-based view/folder you’re currently looking at should do it.

We had a similar situation where IBM told us that the dynamic configurator which brings down policies will only do so once a day. In order to bring them down on demand, you can click Actions/Remove Address Book Preferences in the personal address book.
Don’t know why, but it did it for us.

Yes… I did do all the steps that you have mentioned and still the policy docs are not getting created in my pernal address book.

We had the same issues but now have the org policies working. We had r5 setup policies defined. We did two things to resolve: 1. Deleted the old R5 setup policy settings via the administrator. 2. Made a simple action agent to run against the NAB. Peformed a modify field simple action against the “Profiles” field on all selected documents.

The policies have been working since we performed step #2. Not sure if #1 had an impact but was advised to do so by IBM/Lotus support.
