Pleaase help ! Blackberry + Domino + Client Access Express does not work together

I wonder if somebody can possibly help with a problem we have which is :

We have set-up and run successfully a Blackberry trial, with the Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) also installed on our Lotus Notes server. However to get it to work he had to run it from a Windows 2000 server (as when MS Server 2003 was used the BES would not run !).

We have been in contact with the people who provided the trial who have not been at all helpful, therefore we have spent a considerable amount of time trying to determine what the problem can be - and have now identified it as the Client access software which once installed seems to affect the connection to the BES (even if it is then un-installed it will not work).

We are using the client access software to provide a connection to DB/2 databases on a AS/400!

Does somebody know what is occurring here - is there anything we can do ?

Are there any alternatives we could use rather than client access to provide the connectivity to the AS/400 (No DECS please !).

On my win2k server, running client access (now iSeries access) V5R3, we have no problems with also running BES.

Now, is BES running on your mail server or a secondary server? My understanding is that it shouldn’t be running on the same server with the actual mailboxes.

Perhaps you could give more detail about the problems - is it locking up, logging errors?

We installed the latest version of iSeries access and now it’s working !Thanks for your response.
