Placing a transparant image file on a notes design element

Hi

I have made a psp ( Paint Shop Pro) image file that is transparant. How can I make an image resource of it in the designner client? Or place that image on a page or form?

Kind Regards

Notes only shows transparency in .GIF files.

Hi

I have done what you said, but I still can see the white background in my picture. Does Notes support transparant imagery?

Yes, Notes supports transparent GIF’s almost everywhere (except in the F5-Logout screen).Sounds like you probably didn’t save the GIF correctly…

Hi

Then can you please tell me the right way to save a transparant image in Paint shop pro that will work correctly in Lotus Notes?

After you’ve reduced the palette to 256 colours or less (Colors → Load Palette or Colors → Decrease Color Depth), set the transparency (Colors → Set Palette Transparancy), then save as a GIF. If you are using an incredibly ancient version (PSP5 or earlier), then you’ll find the transparency option in the Options of the Save dialog. In any case, Notes will certainly display the image correctly.
