"Pitch-Sensitive"

From the help file:

"Option Compare Statement:

Pitch or NoPitch

Comparison is pitch sensitive (default) or pitch insensitive. Only one of these options can be specified. "

I’ve been living ‘in the ghetto’ for a little while now (otherwise known as R5) so i’m not totally ‘down’ with some of this new, fandangled R6-speak, so what is ‘pitch sensitivity’?
