Running Notes 8.5.1 Revision 20090929.1223 on Windows 7 64 bit. Receiving the following error in pop-up window when I log in to integrated Sametime:‘Phone grid client updateServerIP job’ has encountered a problem.
I also have have the very same problem, on Windows 7 64-bit. It does not seem to cause any problems - just the error message (although I am not using any phone integration features).
I get the same error. Windows 7 64 bit as well. The problem that I see it cause is the IP phone functions do not work… I have seen the function enable at a later point but after that error they are grayed out…
Were there any recent fixes applied to Notes or Sametime before the error appeared? This is a fresh install of 8.0.2 FP3 SHF32 on Windows 7 64-bit. This error has always been there for me at the start as well.
Was ipv6 always enabled even before the error occurred or did you recently enabled it? Does the problem go away if it is disabled?
You need to disable the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. It is running on port 5060 and needs to be stopped permanently. This worked like a charm on VoiceSuite in Lotus Notes 8.5.1.
Bruno’s solution solved the issue on my machine. Running Lotus Notes 8.5.2 w/FP2 on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Disabling the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service and then restarting Notes cleared up the issue.
The Solution worked for me. Note, Stopping the service did not work, as it was automatically restarted. Disabling the service worked.
The first time I started LN after the service was disabled, it said it could not log me on to ST, and I had to logon manually. After that, it worked fine, and I no longer get the error.
Experiencing the same problem as mentioned in previous posts. This is occurring on a newly-issued Windows 7 64-bit Thinkpad T400, running Lotus Notes 8 (FP3 SHF32). However, it doesn’t seem to be causing any email problems so far. I’m also not currently using any phone integration features.
I too am getting this, on my new W500 running 64-bit Windows 7. I’m running Notes 8.5.1 FP1 SHF20. Until a fix becomes available, is there any plugin we can disable to avoid this, while still having non-voice SameTime functionality? Thanks.
I’ve been receiving this exact same error. Thing is it just started within the last day or so. Wondering if its tied to an updated java. I know in roughly the same timeframe my java updated.
