Discourse has the option for you to create your own custom section of links. These can be internal links or links to external sites, and will only be visible for you. They will also follow you when using the site on other browsers or mobile devices.
Creating a section
To create your own custom section, look for the “+” sign at the bottom of the left-hand navigation.
In the resulting dialog, you can add entries with your own title and image:
The new section will appear below the Products section. After it has been created, you can click the pencil icon next to the section to edit the links.
If you wish, you can add additional sections. They will appear in the order in which they were created.
Finding a link
To find the right content for the link, navigate to the relevant page and check the address bar. This is best done on desktop rather than mobile. As you can see from the image, you can go to a category, sub-category, and even add filtering for a tag.
Bear in mind that product categories have their own navigation. So this custom section will only appear in the main site, not in product categories.
