Personal Address Book - Edited Contacts show old names

When I edit a contact and change their listed name, the original names appears in the To: field in a new email. An example would be a contacts name had been Carol Gmail and I edited that contact, changing the name to Carol Hotmail. The “Type ahead” feature in Notes will remember and show Carol Gmail as I type Carol Hotmail. The email adress appears to be changeable and correct, it is just that Notes remembers the old contact name somewhere.

How can I get Notes to show the new, changed name in the To: field?

Notes remember previous name. See the advanced tab, to remove the old name if not to be used any more.THis is a VERY good feature , e.g. for women changing their name when marrying… Or contacts changing of company… can be used too to set unique aliases for typeahead accuracy
