DATA - P:\Lotus\Notes\Data (network drive)
INI - P:\Windows\notes.ini
I use a custom launch icon ( =p:\windows\notes.ini ) to start notes.
Currently I have ~10 user in UAT for the 8.02 standard client. I’ve found an issue that can be reproduced throughout the group.
If a user selects more than one email from the inbox to delete, it takes 3-5 seconds to refresh the view.
I’ve had both the netowrk and server team investigate the network and the disk I/O - NO RESULTS.
As a test I’ve moved the CACHE.NDK file on to the local disk. NO RESULTS.
I’ve then moved the entire DATA directory to the C:\Program Files\Lotus\Notes\DATA - AND IT WORKS. Performance is now MUCH better.
So my question is can you think of anything I can change apart from CACHE that would enable me to keep the DATA directory on a network drive?
