PDA Parts for the iNotes mail template

A number of us have fought with trying to open our iNotes (Domino Web Access) mailfiles on a PDA or SmartPhone.

The micro-browsers on those devices don’t understand Javascript, which the iNotes template is full of.

So, I set about trying to solve the problem and - in May - debuted a ‘beta’ version of “PDA Parts for iNotes” at the ADMIN2005 conference.

Delighted and encouraged by the response, many additional hours have been spent and we’re now at a version that I’m willing to share with the public at large.

Essentially, I’ve got a database with a few design elements in it that need to be added to your mailfile. There’s a view, there are three forms and two agents.

Instead of just opening the database (which triggers all the Javascript stuff), on your PDA you point to mailfile.nsf/mview, which opens up the simple view I’ve created.

Anyway, thought it might be helpful …
