Paste graphics Notes-->MS Word become b&w - please help!

Hello,I have a VERY STRANGE problem. When I store Text and graphics (i.e. screenshots, pictures) in a RTF field everything looks good.

But when I put that notes document in edit mode, mark all from that RTF field and copy it and then paste into Microsoft Word the graphics is black and white (dithered image - looks almost like a fax picture).

Same procedure with MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, Paint and several other programs: everything ok, including color graphics.

Copy and Paste from other applications to MS Word are ok.

I can even cut from Notes, paste in Paint (graphics has colors) and then cut from Paint and paste into Word: graphics has colors.

Only works the b&w way when I directly paste into Word.

Notes Client V 6.5 (engl. Version)

MS Word 2002 (10.2627.2625)

I want to have the pasted graphics or better to say all the pasted stuff look like the original, including colors.

Didn’t found any settings of the Notes Client that helped, same goes for Word. Internet wasn’t helpful too.

What am I missing?

I tested more:

  • open a notes doc with a RTF field

  • make a screenshot of something and paste it as picture1 into the RTF field

  • now paste the same screenshot into a word document, mark it, say “copy” and paste THIS as picture2 into the Notes RTF field

  • now take a screenshot again and paste into a graphic program and save it as JPG. Then use the CREATE>>PICTURE menu entry in Notes to import this JPG into your Notes RTF field as picture3.

  • “Select all” (CTRL-A) from the RTF field and copy to clipboard.

  • open an empty Word document and paste.

  • picture1 is there (black and white)

  • picture2 and picture3 are missing!!!

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE???

Subject: I have also some strange things in this context

When I do a screen dump with ALT-PrintScreen and paste it in Notes, the picture will be 100% and difficult to read. When I shrink this to 40% it is impossible to read.

BUT!!! When I paste it into Word and copy this picture and paste it into Notes, I can shrink it to 40% and it is possible to read.
