I have updated a Domino Server from ‘R5.09a’ to ‘R6.0.2 CF1’, and everything seems to have had success. First i updated the ‘names.nsf’ (everythig worked fine), and two weeks later i updated the server code.
Everything went well as well, but users notified me they can’t authenticate with the http server.

To give them access again, I have to change its Internet Passwords, and i noticed that its passwords codified were differents to the ones users tell me they had. So i thought that passwords had changed mysteriously.

I noticed too, comparing with a backup of names, that the codified passwords in the old ‘names’, were equal to the ones in the new ‘names’. My thoughts changed and i confirm that their codification haven´t changed.

But if i write down the password the users tell me they had, the codification changes, and its different from the one they had, but the password is the same. So i think it must be some trick with R6 codification.

What has happended?

Is there a new type of decodification for Internet passwords in R6?

Why R5 and R6 interpret the same codified password in a different way?

What i have to do to preserve the password when i update the next server?
I hope to have express well, and you understand my problem when i had to update a server with more users, 25.000 for example.
