I am presently increasing the password quality setting on the server. It appears to me that I have set the increased password security but there is no way to set the new security for the next login. I don’t want to wait 90 or 180 days. Is there a way to set the client to ask for a password change and have the new settings active? I didn’t really want to set the security document “REQUIRED CHANGE INTERVAL” to 5 days and then reset it to 90 days.

That’s the only way to do it. You can’t push a one-off change out.
