i have a problem to understand the passwords “grace period” function inside person or policy document.
As i thought before, the “grace period” defines the time the user could change his password before get locked from system.
So if the password intervall has reached or exceeded the user has - e.g. 10 days “grace period” - time that he could change his password. After exceeding “password intervall” + “grace period” he will be locked.
With Notes 8.5.1+ the user inside the “grace period” gets the following message.
You must change your password. It expired on xx/xx/2012. Do you want to change your password now??
If the user says “NO” and wants to connect to the server he get the following message box and could NOT connect to server until he changes his password.
“Your password has expired. You cannot access this server until you change it.”
Is this “working as designed” ???
