Parent and child Problem in js

Hello all ,

I am facing one issue in web application .

I have a form and there is link on this one . On click

of that link I am opening a another notes form. Now I want to use one of the field on the form where the link is present . as I want to manipulate one of the value on the child form , on the load of the child form .

I am using window.opener.document.forms(0).nameoffield.value but it is not taking .

Please advice

make sure your parent field is editable and that it is on the top form on the page (perhaps you have more that one form on the parent page).
