Page is crashing db (NSD)

I created a “Page” called Instructions and was using this as somewhat of a home page…with lots of instructions using a lot of collapsed sections, graphics (snapshots, ets) and lots of formatted text (bullets, numbers, etc.)

This has worked fine for a couple months…today I was editing the text in one of the sections and was trying to cut and paste a whole collapsed section of information from one part of the page to another … and the system crashed.

It seems to be a problem with the Instructions page…if I try to go into this page in edit mode it crashes … as in lights out…NSD running. I had htis page openinng in the main frame and that crashes the client as well when opening…

I removed the page from the database and things started opening again…so all is not lost.

But I did lose everything in that page.

I’m working with my IT department to see if there is a backup from last nite…in the mean time does anyone know if I can “fix” this page element or recover it in any way???

Eric, I’ve seen things like this with respect to sections. The safest thing to do when trying to cut and paste a section, would be to just cut the text from the section, paste it in the desired location, then highlight the pasted text and create a new section. Then just remove the old section.

Cutting and pasting entire sections works sometimes, but when Notes decides to get fussy about it, it’s hard to deal with. I’ve gotten into the habbit of always just cutting the text out and making a new section whenever I need to cut and paste a section.
