Outlook HTMO add account error

Hi.

Trying to test out the Outlook Traveler plugin for Notes/Domino (HTMO.exe). It installs ok, but I go to add an account only three of the four tests are ticked: Mail Service, Freebusy Service and Sync Service. Mail File fails the test and I can't create the account. What do I need to do on the server side to enable? (Domino 11.0.1FP4, Traveler 11.0.2 I think)

Damien

Hello,

Does replica of the user's mail file exists on your HTMO server ?

HTMO only supports like replicas on group servers where Traveler is installed, so each Traveler server that supports an HTMO user must have a replica of the user's mail file. The replicas must have the same replication settings in order to function correctly for Microsoft Outlook.

If you use a Server List Group to hold your Traveler servers, the database path for each replica of the mail file is required to be the same for each server in the group server configuration. For the server configuration document associated with the group, any changes affect all servers.

For more information on how to configure Traveler for use with Outlook please refer following documentation.

Hi Suraj,

No the mail files replicas are not on the Traveler server, replicas are on another server behind a firewall. I might have to rethink offering this type of service to users.

Hi Damien.

This is not true anymore for HCL Domino v12.

You do not need anymore to have the mail database on Traveler server.

You could update your Domino server to v12.0.1 + Traveler

I test it on v12.0.1 and it works like a charm.
