I have an Outline in the left hand frame and a view in the right. When I click on an entry in the right frame displays the correct view but the left frame reverts back to standard views and loses the Outline - I have set the default frame target to be the right frame. Why is the Outline being lost?

The view is not opening in the right frame, it’s opening in the “_top” frame (the top-level frame, which is the outer containing window). Views opened full-screen default to displaying with the default folders and views navigator. You need to set the target frame for your outline entries.
