Outgoing email truncated at 80 characters?

Hello all,

We have a user complaining that our outgoing emails are truncated at 80 chararcters per line, which is causing some of his lengthy URL links to split between lines. He reports this started happening since the R6 upgrade (1 week ago). I looked at the Config. Doc. and the server docs for our email servers, but didn’t come across any settings that would dictate such a setting? Is there a setting somewhere that dictates how many characters per line are permitted for outgoing email?

There’s a setting on the client that handles it.

File->Preferences->User Preferences->Mail tab->Internet sub tab->Wrap lines at…

Isn’t that only applicable to the “Internet Style Replies”???

Yes, but the original post did state ‘outgoing email’ which implies internet email to me.

It may not be the entire answer either, but it’s something to look at.
