We had following problem: users cannot enable Out of Office function in Client. Out of Office > Service type is set in configuration settings. Server version is 12.0.2FP5HF13, Template version is 12.0 or 14.0.
We tried changing the Template version, but this did not help solve the problem. We tried deleting the OOO profile using: All-in-one admin tool for HCL Notes Mail and Applications troubleshooting - Customer Support
Nothing helped. It is impossible to understand whether this is a mass problem or not. But when users report this problem, when the OOO function is enabled, they are not in the list if you set Tell router ooo list in the server console.
Please advise what the problem might be. What else should be checked? Has anyone encountered this problem and has any ideas on how to solve it?
Be sure that the mail template is not at a higher level than the server version. If the user’s template is higher than 12, then bring it back to 12. There are probably other issues, but this is a good start. Also check the config doc for the server. Is the Out-of-Office type set to “Service”? You can find this on “Router/SMTP” > “Advanced…” > Controls
Thank you for your reply. As written earlier, there are users who have template 12 installed, but the function still does not work. Do you have any ideas about what else could be checked because the ООО function may not be working?
Did you check the following “check the config doc for the server. Is the Out-of-Office type set to “Service”? You can find this on “Router/SMTP” > “Advanced…” > Controls”
The mail template version should not be higher than the Notes client version. The mail template version should not be higher than the Domino version.
When using the OOO service (instead of the agent) it is the ‘router’ task on the server that deals with OOO. Is the router task running on the server?
Check the design of the user mail file using the Designer client. The OutOfOffice agent should NOT be enabled.
The user’s entry in the ACL of their mail file should not be higher than “Editor”.
On the Domino server console, check which mail files have OOO enabled using this command: tell router ooo
