Out of office agent not working

Hi,

Out of office agent is enabled to one of the user, but when i send a test mail agent is not sending automatically generated message… its been almost 24 hours since this out of office is enabled can any one help me with this, and also let me know if the mail file size comes in to picture as the user mail file size is 7.5 GB

Have you checked with Lotus about this? I remember that we had a lot of problems with the Out of Office agent in release 6.5.4. Upgrading to the 7.x range has corrected it.

Hi Kiran, Do you remeber me, I am Debashis Karmakar. Do one of the below steps -

  1. manually run below command on the server

tell aMgr run “mail/mailfilename.nsf” ‘OutOfOffice’

  1. If that fails then, go to mail file - database properties and check the option “Disable background agent for this database” and press F9 then once again unchek the same option on the database.

  2. If that fails then sign the database with current server id, administrator id etc and run th first command once again.

this will solve the problem. there is no issue with the size of the mail file.
