Opensearch cluster client - what is it used for?

Problem/Query:

Does anyone know what the opensearch-cluster client is intended to do ?
We are working on minimizing the componentpack. Our environment runs now without it for a couple of months as it had issues with startup.

So I’m wondering, what it is intended to do ?

Hi Urs - We speak to the purpose of the various OpenSearch pods in the following Collecting Data document - Collecting Data: Connections with OpenSearch - Customer Support

This specific pod is the starting point for data collection/OpenSearch cluster analysis. Sample commands are also provided there (see " Utilize OpenSearch APIs to gather information" in that same document).

We’re evaluating ramifications of keeping this pod in a non-running state and will respond here with more input as soon as possible.
