Hi there,
we are currently developing a corporate wide (notes client based) portal to coincide with deployment of R7 client. The portal is server based and is basically a series of frames into multiple applications. Dependent on the users OU, it will decide the nearest application/web/mail servers etc etc. That all works fine for users connected to the network.
We’ve modified the HP frameset in bookmarks.nsf to load our ‘ParentFrame’ in the portal. The parentFrame loads a form displaying a tabbed table. Each tab/row has an editable field. The OnFocus event of this editable field will contain:
Dim uispace As New NotesUIWorkspace
'underlying frame so as not to launch a new window
Call uispace.SetTargetFrame( “BodyFrame” )
'???
Call uispace.OpenFrameset( “BodyHome” )
??? is where I would like to somehow go back to the server based portal (as opposed to bookmarks) and perform the OpenFrameset there. I would rather not have to move the portal design elements to the bookmark ntf
Is this possible and if so does anyone have an idea how it’s achieved?
Edit: The reason why the server based portal isn’t set as the homepage is to facilitate offline users. I.e. when location is island we can’t load the server based portal and load a local ‘portal light’ instead.
Thanks in advance,
Alan.
