I assume that you have created frames using Domino designer and if yes, then open the frame properties of the top frame and set “bottomframe” as the default target in frame (top) properties.

You can find more help in Domino designer.

it was already mentioned in the top frame properties. but still not opening the document in the bottomframe. it is opening in the top frame only.

i am using window.locaiton in showDocument() function. if that is creating problem. is there any alternate way?

thanks

OK…

you must of embedded a form in the top frame. Why not set the form target to the bottom frame.

These settings should work.

If you are using JS then try using this -

window.location.href = “./test?openform&target=bottomframe”

You may need to search on web of how to work with frame targets using JS.

until 4 things i have tried

  1. set the lauch properties of the form(exiting form which i want to open) to bottom frame

  2. set the default target frame for link in topframes to bottomframe

  3. written as

4.what u told written as window.location.href=“http…?EditDocument&target=bottomframe”

but not achiving the result.

i am having document id on the form stored in the field. so i can not directly open the document from the image click. if it was possible, i would not have to use jsheader & all. isn’t it?

any other solution ?

thanks

now i tried using window.open(“http//…?OpenDocument&target=bottomframe”)
