Opening a document using a dos command line or the C/C++ API

Is it possible to open a document (not a database) in the Notes Client IHM using a DOS command line or the C/C++ Lotus API?

I have already found:

notes.exe !!

to open a database.

But I haven’t found any command for opening a document in the database.

Specify a Notes URL. For example, look at the properties of any document in a view, on the Meta tab (marked < + >) the Identifier field contains the URL.
