Subject: Traveler custering
Are there plans to support clustering within the Traveler components in the near future?

Subject: RE: Traveler clustering
This request is made all the time. It is a high priority item, but there is no commitment on how or when it will be done.
Traveler already supports the mail servers being clustered - it is just Traveler itself that cannot be clustered at this time.
Subject: Lotus Traveler 8.5.2
On iPhone. It is found that a search from the corporate NAB can be done for users, however, it is noticed that searching for groups does not work. When will this possibility be provided? IMHO if one can search successfully for a users’ name from the NAB, it should also be possible for groups.Thank you
Subject: RE: Lotus Traveler 8.5.2 (group lookup)
There is already a requirement for looking up groups. It will be evaluated along with all the other requirements for if and when it gets done.
Subject: Rooms Lookup too
In addition to my parent, I would like to lookup meeting room information too. We’ve extended the meeting room Extensible Schema subform by a custom field OfficePhoneNumber, which will be filled with the international telephone number the users can use to dial in into a meeting from outside. Looking up that information from a Blackberry via BES works very well, but does not work from an iPhone via Traveler because Traveler allows person lookups only.
Subject: From IBM - Clustering support
The Clustering/Failover support for Lotus Notes Traveler is a high priority feature that is planned for a future release of Traveler. Most likely an upcoming feature release.
Subject: Support for Email/Calendar/Task on Android
This will help large number of Notes users. And this can be extended for other applications.
Subject: RE: ID Vault, SSL, General Encryption vs. Message Encryption
Let me give the simple answer.
All of the data sent over the air is HTTP or HTTPS (as of 8.5.2). That data is encrypted as part of HTTPS or it is not encrypted (HTTP).
Domino encrypted mail is decrypted on the server, sent over HTTP or HTTPS to the device, and locally encrypted on the device or only stored in memory while viewing it (not stored locally at all).
Other than Domino encrypted mail, all other data on the device is handled like any other data on the device. If the device has hardware encryption, it is all encrypted; if the device does not have hardware encryption, the data is not encrypted. The device data security model protects it from other applications accessing the data on many of our supported platforms too.
Subject: Lookup resolution of Public (NAB) Groups from iPhone
Currently, if we address a public group from the iPhone we get an error message that the group does not exist. If we ‘send anyway’, so long as the group name is spelled properly it will be delivered (in many cases our groups do not have an SMTP address associated with them). Is there a setting or update available to correct this? We are on Domino 8.5.1 using Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.1.2 Build 201003232022

Subject: Traveler on iSeries?
The addition of Linux is great, but how about iSeries?
Subject: From IBM: iSeries
Traveler 8.5.2 runs as a service on Domino for Windows 32 & 64bit and Linux (32b) for RHEL5/SuSE 10.x/11. We have no plans at this time to add support for IBM i (iSeries), but we have noted your interest should plans change.
Subject: Also want Traveler on iSeries
Windows servers are cute toys. But we’re trying to use Domino in a business environment. We want Traveler to run on that.
Subject: Standalone?
Currently Lotus Traveler is running on Linux + Windows only.
as you may know you don’t need to install traveler on top of the server hosting your mail files
Whatever OS you consider to be appropriate for your users, why don’t you run Traveler on Linux on its own server, separated from your mail servers?
Subject: Don’t know Linux
We do not know Linux. Last time we tried a Domino Server on Linux we ran into OS support issues and we ended up giving it the bum’s rush.
Subject: Windows Phone 7
Will 8.5.2 FP1 support Windows Phone 7?
Sorry it should be a respond to the main topic…
Subject: Missing Policies
Why are there no policies to control “Autosync” and “Roaming”?
Autosync policy was already there before 8.5.2!
Subject: Lotus Notes Traveler
When will the Traveler application be operational or available for the Droid Phones?? We have a high demand/requests for it’s availability on a Droid.
Thank You
