Open attachments from XPages running in Notes Client prompts to Save them

I’m trying to deploy a XPages application that will be ran withing Notes Client.

I have a File Download control that should ask users to View or Download the attachments, but, instead it shows the Save As dialog from Windows.

An easy way to reproduce this is by creating a Discussion DB and change its properties to open the allDocuments.xsp XPage from Notes.

Not following you, downloading a file from a web browser always present a file save dialog?

what did I miss?

In Web Browsers usually what you get is a ‘File Download’ dialog where you can Open or Save the file.

Also if the file type is associated with the Browser you may open the file whiting the same Browser.
