Ok, this is a strange problem, but I can’t figure out if the problem may be in the configuration of our servers or really is a problem in Domino 7.0.x.
All of this code works in 6.5.5 in Firefox and IE. All versions (7.0.x included) work in Firefox. 6.5.5 works in IE, but not on 7.0.1 or 7.0.2.
I have this class that fades out the current page to 50% opacity while “overlaying” a lookup form that would normally have been a true popup, but using this opacity stuff now to do away with popups. When I click on the button to activate it, the form content fades out 50% and is “unusable” (unclickable, etc.) - that’s the way it is supposed to work.
However, in IE and using 7.0.1 and 7.0.2 it doesn’t work (again, works great in Firefox). The lookup form comes up like it’s supposed to - but the current page does NOT fade any or become “unusable.”
The “modal” id below is for the base page that is supposed to fade out and the “showLookup” is below is for the “overlaying popup like form” that is to display.
/* The styles below dictate the “pop up” of the LDAP lookup window */
div#modal {
background-color: #fff;
filter:alpha(opacity=50);
opacity:0.5;
-moz-opacity:0.5;
height: 100%;
width: 100%;
position: absolute;
top: 0;
left: 0;
z-index: 101;
display: none;
}
div#showLookup {
border: 1px solid #333;
background-color: #fff;
width: 575px;
height: 410px;
padding: 0px;
position: absolute;
top: 150px;
left: 200px;
z-index: 102;
display: none;
}
Does anybody have ANY ideas? I’m at my wit’s end with this. This is critical in my design in that I’m not using pop-up windows on the web. If I can’t get this working properly then I’ll have to go to pop-ups and I so don’t want to! ![]()
Sincerely,
Debbie
