One reader fields lets you see document other doesn't

I have two reader fields on a form. One reader field uses @DBColumn to return names from an address book. The names appear to be in common name format. The names appear and return as: “Jane Doe”. This field works fine. If my name is selected in the address book, I can read the document.

The other reader field uses @DBlookup to find the account manager’s name and then return the names in a field on his person document. These are his team members and the names are apparently stored as “Jane Doe/ABC/Companyname”. If a person’s name is added to this field only, he can’t see the document. Why? I thought this was the prefered way of storing names. If I use @Name([CN]; teammembers) to return the common names, then those people can see the document. I’m confused.

Thanks

It should work. However, I notices you mentioned in the second case it’s returning names. Make sure the names are in a list and not a long text string.

“John Doe/ORG/Company, Jane Doe/ORG/Company” will NOT work.

It has to be:

“John Doe/ORG/Company”

“Jane Doe/ORG/Company”

in your second field the name should in caninical format in order to work:

“CN=Jane Doe/OU=ABC/O=Companyname”
