One of my users is having a strange issue on her computer. She is seeing different data in a database record than everyone else. The record on her computer has a date of birth field of 4/24/02, but on everyone else’s client, it is the correct date of 4/25/02. There is also an insurance number field that is showing incorrectly on her computer.
The data for this “face sheet” DB is pulled from a “core data” database every night. The agent is running correctly. The DOB field was corrected in the core data DB and is now correct on the “face sheet” database. It only displays the old, incorrect data on this one client.
I made sure that the user had the right database and that it was not a replica. I even deleted the database icon and then added it back to her workspace. After thinking about it for a while, I thought that it must be some kind of temporary cached file that was stuck on her computer, perhaps from a previous crash. I deleted all of the Windows XP temp files on her system and the cache.ndk file under the notes\data folder, then restarted the computer. This did not fix the problem. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Jack,
Have her and someone else compare using doc properties. That way you can read off the unid and the field names/contents without any live feed to worry about, and likewise you can verify the filepath/name of the db.

Hi,
First of all you can check the Time Zone from her PC. If it’s a different Time Zone it can display a different date because yuor is 4/25/02 1AM, and on this specific PC it’s 4/24/02 11PM, for instance.
Beside this check if she is really opening the same document, not any child, or something else.
I don’t know about any cache specific for one workstation.
HTH,
Daniel

Jack,
Did you compare her Doc ID to the correct one? You have taken all of the steps I would have taken.
You might try re-installing the client on her PC?

Check the location document and specifically the Time Zone part - if it’s corrupted, or just set wrong (eg. she doesn’t have daylight savings set and is supposed to?), it could be rendering the date wrong for her client. Even if the location is set to use OS time, take it off and check it’s right underneath in case it’s still interfering.
Stranger things have happened!

Thanks. I checked the TZ settings and even uninstalled the client, deleted all temp files, completely reinstalled client. The problem still exists. I think there is a ghost in the machine.

Jack, are the documentID’s the same?
