Not sure about the tie to Microsoft.net server, but I would generally allow 5 - 6 hours for a Domino Server. I’ve done it in under an hour, but that was pretty simple. Do you have databases that need to be migrated, how many users do you need to set up? There is also the whole security plan. What OS are you using? What is your level of Domino Admin experience? Are you trying to estimate the time for yourself or are you trying to determine if a consultants quote is reasonable?
The list goes on!
If it is a complex environment you might need a few days to get everything together. You need to be more specific with your question so that we can be more specific with our answer.

tq Bill, for time being, I am exploring a simple function, I just want to put database created for v7.02, no migration of old database, currently, they already have v5 server, but I believed it will be shutdown soon.
Thus, this new server is only to kept databases created for v7.02, as for users, it will be based on the address book created in server v5.0. As for security, it will only be open for may be 200 users for time being, against around 1000 users for the v5.0 server.
if 1 day, I think it is quite a viable option.
