ODS 48 and Notes 5 clients and databases

At this time we have still some Notes 5 users (Notes 5 mailtemplates with Notes 5 clients) that access our Domino 8.5 Servers.

Are there any reasons not to upgrade to ODS48?

For some reasons we can’t upgrade those clients/templates at this time and although won’t be able to rename them to .ns5. Therefore we have to ensure we don’t run into troubles if they are changed to ODS48

Subject: Should be fine…

Just run a quick test bye upgrading a single database on the Domino Server to ODS48 and access from your Notes 5 Client… You can always downgrade the ODS level back if you need to using the compact -r switch.
