Does anyone know where a full forms ODBC connectivity tutorial can be found?
We are currently testing Domino in a Proof of Concept environment and we have hit a roadblock with ODBC connectivity. This is not due to lack of skill sets, we are becoming convinced that it is directly due to a potentially defective and sub-standard product.
This is what we have so far:
1.) We have unixODBC working correctly on Linux RHE.
2.) We have Domino DCTEST working correctly.
3.) Microsoft clients connect correctly using the same ODBC connection settings.
4.) Non Lotus Notes/Domino applications/IDE can access Linux databases without an issue;
5.) Domino connection documents recognize configured ODBC drivers / DSN setups.
6.) DECS starts without error.
7.) Field activities recognize the same configurations.
8.) When building web form components such as database sensitive drop-down combo boxes, database enabled grids and the such like; all data sources are properly recognized.
What is not working:
1.) Fields activities do not correctly map fields one to one.
2.) When running / executing a form.nsf via a browser, all the database connected components as mentioned above are empty. There are no errors to been seen or found in any of the log files.
What we are looking for:
1.) Comprehensive trouble shooting documentation.
2.) Complete web form / ODBC development tutorial.
We have spend the last two months reading through all the documentation that IBM Lotus Notes / Domino has to offer on this support site. To date, we have not achieved success.
Does anyone have suggestions for a way forward?
