I am receiving this message in local replicas of a database. Users are able to open embedded OLE Word templates (read only) contained in a document on the server but receive this message when attempting to open them on a local replica.
On the server, the documents were deleted, recreated and the template re-embedded. New local replicas recreated, but this did not work.
I should mention that this database has been in production since 2002 and the latest updates were made August,2005. Something has happened in that this problem just started this week.
There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason as to what is causing the problem and I am running out of ideas. Has anyone else encountered this?
