Number of invitees. What's the limit?

In Lotus Notes Calendaring & Scheduling, is there a limit to the number of invitees you can have for a given meeting? A user is attempting to invite a distribution list to a meeting (it contains the names of everyone at one of our sites), and the error being returned is:

“field is too large (32k) or views column and selection formulas are too large”

Any workarounds that you know of?

That’s a hard limit, and it would likewise be imposed on emails or other documents with SUMMARY data fields.

Can’t one use a public group name for this?
