NSD is running crash

Hi,

I send a database file to an external partner.

The user can open the database (nsf file), but on doubleclick on the documents, the user gets the Error “NSD is running” and the computer shuts down immediately ( unfortunately ;-))

We could save a log file which is saying:

Hi Steffen,

Is that the full nsd log file from the IBM_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT folder on the affected client? It looks incomplete.

Subject: NSD is running crash

Hi Steffen

In your post there is a line saying

"Arguments : “C:\Program Files\lotus\notes\nsd.exe” -dumpandkill -termstatus 1 "

If i am not wrong then the user is trying to open the DB from his local machine rather than the server. NSD file is created by default when you install notes and in the line above it seems like the due to some reason NSD is killing the application. Try deleting NSD from local notes and then open the DB. I usually delete NSD from my notes and it works fine!

Subject: RE: NSD is running crash

Deleting the NSD.exe?

Why? If the client crash in the future, no NSD files will ever be generated.

Is there any special code in the postopen? Version of your db, of the Notes clients used to open the db?
